Surfing is a sport that can be learnt by anyone, providing they are reasonably fit. But it is not an easy sport to pick up, and the environment it takes place in is, to some degree, dangerous. After all you need waves and where the waves are so are the rips. For this very reason we recommend that anyone who is considering taking up this sport should make use of one of the excellent surf schools available in the area. They will teach you those vital skills required to be safe in the water, both to yourselves and to others.
